Add a little mystery—and a whole lot of color—to your flock with our Rainbow Egg Layer chicks! These chicks come from our specially selected Rainbow Pen, created for anyone who loves colorful chickens, interesting genetics, and an egg basket filled with beautiful and unexpected shades.

Our Rainbow Pen brings together a diverse mix of blue, green, olive, and brown egg-laying genetics, with breeding selections focused on producing unique egg colors and characteristics. We especially select for heavy bloom, pink and purple tones, speckles, rich greens, blues, and beautiful variations that make every egg basket one of a kind.

Because this is a mixed-color breeding project rather than a standardized breed, chicks can hatch in a wide variety of colors, patterns, and feather types. Each hatch is a surprise!

What to Expect

🐣 A wide variety of chick colors and patterns
🌈 Genetics from blue, green, olive, and brown egg-laying lines
🥚 Potential for a beautiful range of future egg colors
💜 Selection for heavy bloom, including pink and purple-toned eggs
✨ Speckles and other unique egg characteristics are part of our breeding goals
🎨 Lots of genetic variety—no two hatches are exactly alike

All Rainbow Egg Layer chicks are sold straight run, meaning chicks are unsexed and may be male or female.

Because of the genetic diversity within our Rainbow Pen, we cannot guarantee an individual chick’s mature appearance, sex, or the exact egg color a female will eventually lay. The surprise is part of the fun!

These chicks are perfect for anyone looking to build a colorful backyard flock and rainbow egg basket while enjoying the excitement of watching unique chicks grow and develop.
